Jambo Paul Robeson Malcolm X Academy family!

As an African Centered School, we focus on the African American culture. Starting this month, we will introduce the 7 Principles of Nguzo Saba (Kwanzaa) and their meanings. We also want to encourage, celebrate and educate one and all about said principles and how we can apply these teachings in our everyday walks of life.

In September, we will be celebrating the first Principle Umoja. Umoja is pronounce (00-MOH-jah), which means Unity. "To strive for and maintain unity in the family, community, nation, and race."

What this look like in action:

1. Working together

2.VSupporting one another

3. Solving problems as a team

4. Building strong relationships

Reflection:

How can I help bring people together in my family, school, and community?

TOGETHER WE ARE STRONGER.......
